Part 1 — Building sentences step by step
A clear sentence has a subject + verb + details (colour, material, time, feeling).
- My favourite clothes are my black hoodie and grey joggers.
- I wear them when I go to the park.
- The hoodie is made of soft cotton.
- They look casual and they make me feel comfortable.
- They match my white trainers.
Part 2 — Model paragraph
Example (Mia):
My favourite clothes are my blue jeans and a green hoodie. I wear them on Saturdays when I meet my friends. The hoodie is made of warm cotton, so it feels soft and cosy. My jeans are strong and comfortable for walking. These clothes look simple and sporty, and they make me feel relaxed and confident. They also match my white trainers.
Why this is good: It uses are/is, is made of, feelings (cosy, confident), and explains when she wears them.
Part 3 — Guided writing
