Goals for this lesson

• Use the simple present to describe clothes and habits (is, are, made of, wear).
• Describe colors, materials, style, and how you feel in an outfit.
• Write a short paragraph (5–7 sentences) about your favorite outfit and when you wear it.

Part 1 — Building sentences step by step

A clear sentence has a subject + verb + details (color, material, time, feeling).

• My favorite outfit is a red T-shirt and blue jeans.
• I wear it when I go out with my friends.
• The T-shirt is made of soft cotton.
• It looks casual and it makes me feel confident.
• It matches my white sneakers.

Part 2 — Model paragraph

Example (Mia):

My favorite outfit is a black hoodie with grey joggers and white sneakers. I wear it on weekends when I go to the park or meet my friends. The hoodie is made of soft cotton, so it feels warm and comfortable. The joggers are light and easy to move in. This outfit looks simple and sporty, and it makes me feel relaxed and confident. I sometimes add a cap to complete the look.

Why this is good: It uses is/are, is made of, feelings (comfortable, relaxed), and explains when she wears it.

Part 3 — Guided writing

1. Plan: Choose an outfit. List 2 colors, 1–2 materials, 2 adjectives, when you wear it, and how it makes you feel.
2. Draft: Use these starters:

Sample answer: My favorite outfit is a grey sweater with dark blue jeans and black boots. I wear it in the evening when the weather is cool. The sweater is made of soft wool and it feels warm. It looks simple but stylish, and it matches my black cap. This outfit makes me feel comfortable and confident.
