Story Time: The Lost Puppy

Sam loves his puppy, Pit. Pit is a small, black puppy with shiny fur and playful eyes. One sunny day, Sam wakes up and calls out, “Pit, where are you?” But Pit does not come. Sam feels worried. He searches the house and looks under the bed, behind the couch, and even in his toy box. “Where could Pit be?” he wonders.

Sam steps outside and checks the garden. The bright flowers wave in the gentle breeze, but there is no sign of Pit. Just when Sam’s eyes start to fill with tears, a kind girl named Emma sees him. “Are you looking for your puppy?” she asks with a smile.

Sam nods, “Yes, his name is Pit, and he’s very small.” Emma points to the corner of the garden where Pit is sniffing some colorful flowers. “There he is!” she says cheerfully.

Sam’s heart leaps with joy. “Pit!” he shouts. Pit runs to Sam and jumps into his arms, wagging his tail happily. Sam laughs and hugs his furry friend tightly. “Thank you so much, Emma!” he says. Emma smiles and says, “Always happy to help.”

With Pit safely in his arms, Sam and Pit walk back home. Sam feels happy and warm inside, knowing that friends and kind people make any day brighter.
