Story Time: The Red Umbrella

Lily loved her red umbrella. It was big, bright, and made her feel happy. On rainy days, she carried it everywhere. One morning, dark clouds filled the sky. Soon, the rain started to fall. Pitter-patter!

Lily opened her umbrella and walked to school. As she walked, she saw a little puppy shivering in the rain. “Oh no!” she said. She bent down and held the umbrella over the puppy.

A boy nearby saw Lily and smiled. “That’s very kind!” he said. The puppy wagged its tail. Lily felt warm inside, even though the air was cold.

As she walked, more people joined under her umbrella. First, an old man with a cane. Then, a little girl with a blue raincoat. They all smiled and walked together, staying dry under the big red umbrella.

When Lily reached school, the rain stopped. The puppy barked happily, and the sun peeked through the clouds. Lily knew that even a rainy day could bring happiness. She smiled and closed her red umbrella, ready for a bright day ahead.
