Part 1 — Building sentences step by step
A clear sentence has a subject + verb + details (reason, activity, feeling).
- My favorite subject is Science. (subject + verb + subject name)
- I like it because we do fun experiments. (reason with because)
- In this class, I learn about plants and animals. (activity/detail)
- My teacher is friendly and helpful. (teacher/quality)
- This subject makes me feel excited. (feeling)
Part 2 — Model paragraph
Example (Layla):
My favorite subject is Art. I like it because it is creative and relaxing. In this class, I draw pictures, paint with watercolors, and learn about colors. My teacher is kind and she always encourages us. I also enjoy working with my friends on projects. Art makes me feel happy and confident.
Why this is good: It uses the simple present, gives a clear reason with because, and includes activities and feelings.
